In recent years, the term “Go Green” is regularly thrown around and used as a buzzword for news channels, television advertisements and product packaging. But, what does it actually mean?
Going Green is the act of being environmentally friendly, which literally means earth-friendly or not harmful to the environment. These terms most commonly refer to products that contribute to a green lifestyle or to practices that help protect our natural resources like water and energy.
There are a variety of eco-friendly products that can prevent damaging effects to the environment, and you can also enforce eco-friendly habits or practices by being more aware of the ways in which you use resources.
Being an independent company, we are able to source the most effective cleaning products on the market. This means we can provide the very best cleaning results for our customers whilst ensuring that all of our cleaning agents do not contain harmful elements but instead are biodegradable and eco-friendly.
At our premises, we have a dedicated waste management service in place whereby any packaging or chemicals that we have accumulated are segregated and disposed of safely and correctly. Alongside this, we have a close relationship with a paper shredding and recycling company, Shred-It, who help us to dispose of any office paperwork safely and securely.
Half of a tree is saved each time one of their paper recycling containers is filled.
To improve efficiency and reduce the use of finite resources, we have heavily invested in having Solar Panels installed onto our buildings. Solar energy is a clean and completely renewable resource that will last forever, unlike the world oil reserves which are estimated to only last for another 30 or 40 years.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the cleaning industry, water is a resource that is used very heavily and can be wasted carelessly. However, all of our vehicles at ART Cleaning are equipped with hot water systems, not only for better cleaning results but our system is far more efficient than the average systems as it uses less water.
Our vans are fitted with a digital flow control switch to regulate the flow of water and keep wasted water to a minimum.
Have you thought about your environmental impact?
What are you doing to ensure that you are environmentally friendly in the workplace?
Being environmentally friendly doesn’t mean being more expensive. Quite the opposite, our efficient and safe methods means that you achieve fantastic value for money.
